Camino Portugues Day 19: A Guarda to Baiona

A long day was planned so we had a 7am met up.  The bar across the street from the rip off laundry that was supposed to be open at 7am was not.  We started walking.  Everything in town was closed.

We walked 3km before we came to a gas station that had coffee pods for a machine that produced tepid coffee.  It was another 11km before we came to anything that was open and had coffee.  While we had coffee and juice the Canadian couple from BC came in.  We've seen them a few times over the last few days.

We didn't walk super fast and we cut some corners but was were getting there .

When we left the road to cut over a ridge I stopped to get some drone shots.  Everyone went on a head.  Mike was the only one I caught and we found Francisco and Jeanne later in a bar about 2km from town.  The sweetest dog adopted me or selected me as most likely to drop food - I did.  She won a nice piece of pulpo for her patience.

Coming into the hotel the girl at the desk looked at me and said, "Leo?".

In the evening Mike and I met Francisco and Jeanne for food and drinks.  We walked half way to Virgo to go to an Irish bar for St. Patrick's.  They did give us silly hats but the Guinness wasn't great.

Dinner was at a tapas place where we had the infamous the fire water chorizo.  Good meal.

Tomorrow morning... churros!
