Camino Portugues Day 16: Póvoa de Varzim to Mar

This is going to be short because last night was a late one and I'm already falling asleep at 8:30pm.  We just ordered in some pizzas to our hotel and ate them.  The hotel guy was very nice and set us up with plates and things.  We tried to play a card game but we were all pretty tired.

Mike and I started the day with a quick breakfast at our hotel with a large group of some unidentified eastern European kids on a school trip.

We met Francisco and Jeanne at 8 and after a better coffee, started walking.  A lot of today was on the raised boardwalk.  We passed a lot of soccer complexes.

At about 12km we stopped for coffee and the friendly older proprietor seemed to take quite a shine to Francisco.  She walked to walk with him.

At 19km we stopped for a great lunch at A Lareira in Fão.  Excellent roast pig leg and ribs.  We ordered a half and a full portion and could not finish everything.  The total was 16€ each.

From there we faced a lot of wind and stayed on the main road, suffering the traffic, to save a little distance.  We just wanted to get to our gas station hotel.  The place is quite nice and we had a nice sunset on the balcony of Mike's room.
